Highest Selling Album Of 2016 Goes To Beyonce’s Lemonade

The yearly Global Music Report was recently released to give details on the biggest music releases of last year, and topping the list was Beyonce’s Lemonade. It’s no surprise there, as Beyonce is 6 for 6 for number 1 albums on the charts.
Selling more than 2.5 million albums, she just barely beat out Adele, who was able to sell 2.4 million. Not too far behind is Drake and Metallica, which have sold 2.3 and 2.1 million albums.

Within the top 10 of highest albums sold in 2016, surprisingly 3 of the 10 released back in 2015.
Wondering how the state of music sales have gone throughout the years? The list of the top 10, when combined, equals to more than 19 million albums sold. These figures don’t include the amounts of streaming on top of the numbers, and consist solely with actual sales.

This just goes to show why Beyonce is on top of the game, and deserves to be called the queen.

Riots Erupt in Georgian City of Batumi

Hundreds have protested against the police in Georgia for arresting several men who refused to accept parking fines. The protesters tried to storm a police building; therefore, tear gas and rubber bullets were used against them to scatter them.

Sources have shared that there were roughly 1,000 people in the area, who had surrounded the cities primary police station. The area was in utter chaos, as over a dozen cars were set ablaze and pushed over upside down by the crowds.

Reports say over 20 people have been injured from the events, logged from those who were willing to check themselves into the hospital, with over half of those police officers trying to contain the situation. On top of that, almost 50 people had been detained, after the riots came to a halt early Sunday morning.

Trump Blames Obama for Recent Leaks

President Donald Trump has told he believes that the former President Barack Obama is behind the leaks within his administration and all the protests that Republicans have faced across the country.
The President attended an interview on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends,” where he was asked if he believed Obama was the responsible for the town hall protests against Republicans this month.

“It turns out his organization seems to do a lot of this organizing to some of the protests that these Republicans see around the country against you. Do you believe President Obama is behind it and if he is, is that a violation of the so-called unsaid presidents’ code?” was asked, to Trump.
“No, I think he is behind it. I also believe that it is politics, that’s the way it is,” President replied.
Then he referred to the leaks that have disorganized his first month of presidency.

“You never know what goes on behind the scenes. You know, you’re probably right, but who knows,” Trump said in the interview, a clip of which was released Monday night. “No, I believe Obama is behind it because his people did it. Some of the leaks probably came from them, which are severe because they are appalling concerning national security. But that’s politics. Regarding him being behind things, that’s politics. And it will probably continue.”
No one knows what’s going on behind Trump administration’s leaks, but when we talk about politicians, you have to believe one part and doubt about the other. Whether Trump is lying or Obama is using his organizations to create tension, you’ll never know what’s going on behind the scenes, as Trump himself said.

Bill Gates: “Robots Should Pay Taxes”

Bill Gates, known as one of the greatest inventors of our times, has surprised a lot of people after stating that robots that “steal human jobs” should pay taxes in an interview past Friday.
Gates, as we said, surprised a lot of people with his declarations, where he rants about the possibilities that robot taxes could bring to the country. He told Quartz that robot taxes might fund projects related to charity for elderly or even help kids to get into school.
“Right now, the human worker who does, say, $50,000 worth of work in a factory, that income is taxed, and you get income tax, Social Security tax, all those things,” said Gates. “If a robot comes in to do the same thing, you’d think that we’d tax the robot at a similar level.”

It is interesting that Bill Gates says this since he is the co-founder of Microsoft, one of the biggest companies in the world. A company that curiously manufactures computers and devices that are just robots at the end, so, you can imagine how much Bill would owe in taxes if we say that his creations have helped a lot of company bosses to increase the labor-saving efficiency throughout these years.
“Exactly how you’d do it, measure it, you know, it’s interesting for people to start talking about now,” Bill said. “Some of it can come from the profits that are generated by the labor-saving efficiency there. Some of it can come directly in some robot tax. I don’t think the robot companies are going to be outraged that there might be a tax. It’s OK.”

Maybe his company won’t be outraged by this, but most of them will surely are. If we start saying that businesses have to pay more taxes, then this is the biggest problem that business owners have to face at the time of paying salaries. This is the prime factor that leads those bosses to select machines over people, instead of helping people, this practice will only boost the hardship of most workers.
Robots already “stole” millions of jobs. Fortunately, they have been doing it for years, especially in the first world. Computers are robots, fax machines are robots, forage harvesters are robots, but until know, nobody had the nerve to talk about taxes for robots. It had to come from someone who’s already a billionaire.
